COMPANY HISTORY

SUHAR & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS was established in 1984, by the late John C. Suhar, and incorporated that same year. John brought over 16 years of previous Architectural and on-site Construction Administration / Construction Management experience from working at BHDP Architects and PDT Architects to his firm. Over the next 20 years, he built upon that experience to create a successful architectural firm. Initially, work was generated with Design-Build projects. The firm developed through the years to include Project Management, Design-Bid, and Cost-plus a Fee Management Projects. Over the years the firm has had various employees and partners and was know by various names: Suhar & Associates Architects, Inc.; Suhar & Dellinger Architects; and Suhar & Miller Architects.

John was a teacher and mentor to all of his employees, imparting to each of them his knowledge and experience. He encouraged learning and development and impressed upon Clients, Contractors, and Employees alike the need for precision, detail, and care. Our sophisticated computerized design and drafting procedures have resulted in extremely accurate and efficient documentation and delineation of work scope and responsibilities to minimize construction conflicts.

In July 2004, James Rybolt became the Owner of SAA Architects, Inc. d/b/a Suhar & Associates Architects to maintain the legacy created by John Suhar. Then in October 2005, SAA Architects, Inc. began doing business as SRA Architects / Suhar • Rybolt & Associates Architects. James has over eleven years experience while working with Suhar & Associates Architects under the mentoring of John Suhar, Brett Miller, and other associates. Over the past five years, James has developed a strong personal resume with experience in hotel, multi-family and housing for the elderly, apartment and townhouse, medical facility, office building, retail, banking, food processing and refrigerated-freezer storage, and industrial manufacturing and distribution, design and construction.
